Sam grew up playing a variety of sports but found her love for fastpitch early on where she played competitively for 12 years. Through her love for sports, Sam developed a keen interest in human movement and fitness which led her to completing an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at Queen’s University. Following her degree, Sam worked with a variety of populations from children to athletes to older adults as a Registered Kinesiologist in Ontario. In 2022, Sam decided to return to school to further her career as a Kinesiologist where she is currently completing her Master’s Degree in Kinesiology at UBC and interning as a Strength and Conditioning coach with the varsity teams on campus.

Regular fitness is a crucial component of overall wellness and quality of life. Sam believes establishing a greater mind-body connection will translate into a healthier, happier and pain-free life. Through her sessions, Sam helps her clients create fitness goals and routines that fit their needs and ultimately provide them with the necessary tools to be better equipped to achieve their goals and prevent injuries.

Although competitive level fastpitch is now in the past, Sam continues to play recreationally in pickup games while also focusing on her passion of health management through strength training. On a nice day, you can always find Sam moving her body in some capacity whether that be hiking/biking/running in the summer or skiing in the winter. With her passion for health and fitness, Sam hopes to inspire and encourage her clients to reach their full potential both in the gym and out.

Lydia-Rose’s love of movement started at the age of three when she began dancing. She joined a competitive dance group at the age of seven and danced at a provincial and national level up until the age of eighteen. Her love of biomechanics within movement was the main reason that propelled her to graduate with a degree of Science with a specialty in Active Rehabilitation and Exercise Prescription from Simon Fraser University in 2015.

She volunteered as an athletic therapist for the Varsity women’s soccer team as well as worked in the fitness centre throughout her five years at the university. Lydia-Rose was initially drawn to physiotherapy but halfway through her degree, she realized that correcting movement partners and optimizing body awareness were an essential part of injury prevention and she fell in love with teaching others about this passion of hers.

While Lydia-Rose’s sessions focus on exercises and functional movement partners, she believes holistic fitness can be achieved in just more than a gym setting. Any type of activity that gets you up and moving is golden in her eyes and she herself is dedicated to enjoying activities such as walking, hiking, skiing and swimming.

While you will be hard-pressed to find Lydia-Rose indoors on a sunny day, you can find her doing fun HIIT workouts at the gym, going to spin class or attending Jiu Jitsu, which she does 3-4 times /week. She hopes to inspire her clients to achieve the same balance of gym-based exercise and outdoor activities within their lives in order to obtain a readily sustained active lifestyle.

He enthusiastically engaged in outdoor activities, such as soccer, roller-hockey, and skiing, whenever the opportunity arose. During high school, Victor joined the varsity basketball team, where he thrived on the camaraderie and dedication of team environments, eventually achieving playoff success at the provincial level in 2011.

He completed his degree at the University of British Columbia in 2022 and is committed to providing a client-centered approach, believing that exercise is the best medicine.

As a kinesiologist, Victor’s ultimate goal is to help clients take an active role in their rehabilitation to develop a sense of autonomy during injury management and to pursue their strength and movement goals. He is firmly committed to empowering clients by helping them reframe their beliefs about their pain experience, enabling them to recognize that their body is robust and adaptable to change when given the appropriate levels of progressive exercise stimulus. Victor specializes in knee focused injuries as well as sports specific training.
